This is going to be fun!!! I absolutely love to cook. If you have been a guest in my home, you most likely left with a full stomach and a bunch of left overs. I could seriously spend the whole day (and I certainly have) baking and mixing and cooking while using every dish in the house.
The truth is, I really have no idea what I’m doing. I follow all of the great food blogs like Half Baked Harvest and Tastemade. Some delicious looking photo will pop up in my feed and the next thing you know, I’m 3 cups of flour and 48 dirty dishes deep into a recipe that I’m making just because it looked good in the picture. For the most part, this method has served me well. Although mine never quite look like they’re supposed to, we eat it and enjoy it together as a family. And after all is said and done, there are still dishes to do.
So, long story long, I’m gonna cook. And I’ll share it all. Everything! The mess, the spills the halfa** measurements that look just about right and a really pretty picture of my final dish regardless of how ugly it actually may be. I’m sharing because I truly have picked up some pretty great tips along the way. But also because I’m just a regular mom who really loves to eat and doesn’t mind showing what it looks like behind the scenes of all those beautiful food photos.
So, grab a glass of wine or beer or water, whatever’s your jam and let’s cook!
If there are any recipes you’d like to see me attempt, share them in the comments below!
Cheers,
Jamie
